"Friend to Everyone"
Jacqueline G. Cody, 86, of Lowell, passed away on Tuesday, March 21, D'Youville Senior Care Center.
Born April 22, 1930, in Lowell, she was a daughter of the late Alphonse, and Marguerite (Berthelot) Cody. She attended local schools, and graduated from Lowell High School.
In her younger days she was in the Navy Reserve for 4 years. Jacqueline was employed at Currier Citizen for over 35 years before she retired. She thern volunteered at the former Saints Medical Center as well as at the House of Hope. She was a very active, longtime communicant of the former Notre Dame de Lourdes Church. More recently, while living at Rogers Hall, she was a communicant of the Holy Trinity Polish Church. She loved music, and animals.
She is survived by her two nephews, Daniel R. Cody of Lowell, and Frederick "Rick" Cody Jr., and his wife Mary Ann of Viera Florida; her grand nieces and nephews Robert Cody, Kristen Sullivan and her husband Michael Sullivan, Keith Graham and his wife Amy, and Kyla Purtell; Her great-grand nieces and nephews Nolan and Shea Sullivan and Kaitlin Graham. She is also survived by her closest friends, Bernie and Roger Chartrand of Lowell.
She was the sister of the late Robert Cody, Frederick Cody, and the aunt of the late Maureen Purtell, and the late Michael W. Cody.
